The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit society. The order’s founding principles are charity, unity and fraternity. The Knights of Columbus society was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works. The Knights of Columbus Auxiliary
The Ladies Auxiliary provides the opportunity for wives, daughters, and widows of Knights of Columbus members to come together with the primary goal of providing assistance to the Knights of Columbus Council. This organized assistance may include help at K of C sponsored events and fundraising. The purpose of this organization is faith, friendship and service. One way we serve the community is through local Councils and Parish Volunteer Teams like New Prague’s own St. John’s Council. Our council brings together the local community to participate in service events, organize local fundraisers, and support religious education while growing in the Catholic faith. Join us for one of our quarterly gatherings in the St. John’s school basement. We meeting quarterly on the second Monday of the month.

CCW is a national organization of women’s groups in Catholic parishes. We offer interesting educational programs and empower women in spirituality, leadership and service roles to their families, parish, community and the poor of the world.
The St. Wenceslaus CCW meets the third Mondays of October, November, January (morning meeting – check bulletin), March, April and May at 7 p.m. in the church basement. Every woman in the parish is welcome to attend, anytime of the year. Meetings include a brief prayer service, regular business, inspiring and informative programs, door prizes, delicious treats and socializing time. The Our Lady of Good Help CCW in the Western Catholic Community meets on the third Monday of each month from September to May. Contact Marlene Dohmen at 952-492-6879 or Ann Prochaska at 612-913-7691. All parish females are invited to participate in monthly meetings and parish functions.
