Purpose is a transformative approach to confirmation. Multiple components combine impactful curriculum with a powerful digital tool to enhance communication. Coupled with engaging supplementary material for teens and parents, Purpose is more than just a resource. It is a whole new approach to sacramental preparation.
The Purpose curriculum is 24 sessions with a heavy focus on evangelizing young people and accompanying them as they become disciples. The curriculum addresses three big questions, "Why believe in God?", "Why trust Jesus?" and "Why be a part of the Church?" These questions are supplemented with the Foundations book series, which allows teens to dive more deeply into each question.
Our 8th-grade students meet through our Saint Wenceslaus School Religion Class or on Sunday Mornings with our freshmen on about 14 Sundays throughout the school year.We are excited to now be able to offer a Wednesday night make up option 6:30-7:30pm, if your teen has a Sunday morning conflict this is a great option for those Sundays when an occasional conflict arises and they are unable to attend their normally scheduled Confirmation class. We hope that this provides some stress relief to our ever growingly busy parish families. If you are interested in helping with this or any other Faith Formation Program please reach out to Lynn or Britt.
